for Electoral Systems (IFES), this inclusive
illustration was produced by local artist Jerry
Boursiquot for a civic education series ahead of
presidential and legislative elections in Haiti in
October 2015.
An inclusive, illustrated poster created by
the Provisional Electoral Council (Conseil
Electoral Provisoire, or CEP) in Haiti for the
2015 presidential elections encourages all men,
women, young people, older people and persons
with disabilities to vote.
In Haiti, inclusive educational posters written
in Haitian Creole were created in January 2016
by the Provisional Electoral Council and the
International Foundation for Electoral Systems to
help explain what happens to ballots after they
are cast. Persons with disabilities are shown as
poll workers helping to process ballots and ensure
that information is recorded correctly.
