Message for ‘Ready Reckoner’ from Mr Jonghyun Choe, Secretary General, A-WEB

It is an immense pleasure to see the India A-WEB Centre’s
‘Ready Reckoner’ containing ‘Brief Profiles of Countries, EMBs
and Partner Organizations of A-WEB’ being released.

The ‘Ready Reckoner’, a laudable initiative of the India A-WEB
Centre, provides ‘One Stop’ knowledge relating to the country
profile, electoral system, electoral process, legislative system and

much more in respect of Members and Partner Organizations of
A-WEB. It would surely bring the A-WEB Community closer,
help them to better understand each other, enhance interaction
and facilitate exchanges of experience and expertise in pursuit of strengthening electoral

democracy worldwide. The ‘Ready Reckoner’ is a very good step in furthering the vision
and mission of A-WEB.

The A-WEB Secretariat has extended its full support and help to the India A-WEB Centre
in strengthening the data bases contained in this Document. I recall that even during the
‘lockdown’ caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, officials from the India A-WEB Centre
and the A-WEB Secretariat rigorously worked together to complete this project. I trust
this pursuit will continue so that the databases may be updated.

I heartily congratulate Siri Sunil Arora, Chief Election Commissioner of India and the
Chairperson of A-WEB on his achievements and leadership in the first year during his

term as Chairperson of A-WEB. My heartfelt congratulations also go to Mr Umesh Sinha,
Secretary General, ECI and Senior Advisor, the India A-WEB Center and his entire team
on this achievement.
