2. Main functions of EMB
Article 45 of the Constitution 1992; Electoral
Commission Act 1993:
to compile the register of voters (see Voter reg-
istration and voters’ rolls) and revise it as such
periods as may be determined by law;
to undertake the delimitation of constituencies
for both national and local government elec-
tions;
to conduct and supervise all public elections and
referenda (See Voting process, Secrecy of the
ballot, Counting and Announcement of results);
to educate the people on the electoral process
and its purpose (see Civic and voter education);
