3. Are there any fixed election days/dates
The elections in Brazil are held every two years
on the first Sunday of October. If there is a need
of second round, it occurs on the last Sunday of
October.

4. Compulsory Voting

Voting in Brazil is compulsory for all literate
(C) ELECTION CALENDAR citizens over 18 and under 70, and optional for
citizens who are aged 16 and 17, older than 70 or
1. Last Election Dates illiterate. Brazil introduced compulsory voting into
7 October 2018 (first round) its Electoral Code in 1932 and lowered the voting
28 October 2018 (second round) age from 18 to 16 in the 1988 constitution

General elections are scheduled to be held in
